Lymphoedema

Lymphoedema is a form of chronic swelling that mostly affects the arms or legs, but can affect other parts of the body. Our lymphoedema physiotherapist Kevin can assist with the diagnosis and management of lymphoedema that includes manual lymphatic drainage, education, exercise, compression bandaging and compression garment prescription.

Women’s Health

Our Women’s Health Physiotherapist can assist you with conditions that relate specifically to women through the life stages. Including pre- and post-natal care, pregnancy, rectus diastasis (abdominal separation), pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, bladder and bowel incontinence and overactive bladder. Management options include pelvic floor muscle training, bladder training, advice on lifestyle changes and treatment options, fitting of support devices such as pessaries and exercise rehabilitation.

Workplace Injury Prevention and Management

We work with a number of workplaces and employment providers to provide pre-employment assessments and assist in early intervention for injury management. We are also able to provide comprehensive rehabilitation and support following a workplace injury. We can help your organisation with ergonomic evaluation and advice, employment screening, advice on workplace injury prevention and management strategies.

Neurological Rehabilitation

Neurological physiotherapy aims to improve function and mobility, as well as fitness and strength for people with neurological conditions. It also aims to enable people to meet their goals, which might relate to specific tasks or their ability to participate in social, occupational or family roles. Our neuro physiotherapists can assist you in developing a task-specific, intensive program focused on your goals. 

Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy

Our team is skilled and experienced in the management of pain, injury and rehabilitation. With a thorough examination, we are able to help identify the main contributing factors to your pain problem. We can assist you on your recovery journey by helping to manage your symptoms and in developing an individualised plan that gets you back moving with confidence and strength. We treat a variety of conditions and injuries.

Pilates

We offer both group Matwork classes and 1:1 Reformer Pilates. Our Matwork classes are run by our Women's Health Physiotherapist, Lara, who has a wealth of experience to be able to teach our wonderful clients everything Pilates. Pilates aims to deliver exercises to challenge your mind and body in a safe, structured and controlled environment. We aim to improve your flexibility, strength, posture, body awareness and core strength. Our pilates classes will focus on progressing five key elements: Core activation, rib placement, head, neck and shoulder positioning, lumbo-pelvic awareness and breathing

Dry Needling and Manual Therapy

Our Physiotherapists may use dry needling or other forms of hands on treatment as part of your management. This may include massage, joint mobilisation and muscle stretching. Like dry needling, these techniques can assist with reducing muscle tension and pain in the short term. Our Physiotherapists will always use these techniques in combination with education, exercise and developing your self-management strategies to help you obtain the best possible outcome.

Exercise Prescription

Exercise is a safe and proven medicine that is key in the prevention and management of a number of health conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, cancer, osteoporosis, depression and anxiety. There is strong evidence that exercise programs aimed at improving strength and balance can reduce rates of falls in the elderly. We know that pain can make it difficult to exercise, and we can help you with a personal exercise plan that will steadily build your strength and confidence and allow you to achieve your goals. At Movement Logic Physio, our experienced physiotherapists are able to provide a comprehensive assessment and assist you in developing an individualised exercise and management plan.  We can accommodate you in our in-house gym, 1:1 or in a small group setting.

Disability and NDIS

The team at Movement Logic Physiotherapy works collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Behaviour Therapists and Dieticians Clarance Valley, depending on individual client needs. The team at Movement Logic Physiotherapy are open to working with a wide variety of clients and disabilities in the setting of your choice. All physiotherapy sessions will be tailored to suit each individual. We also provide Physiotherapy services in the paediatric field, which means we can assess and treat clients from 0-18yrs.

Chronic Pain Management

Chronic Pain is a common condition that affects 1 in 5 people in Australia. Pain that persists can be frustrating, debilitating and hard to understand. With a thorough examination, we are able to help identify the main contributing factors to your pain and develop an individual plan to help you take back control. Management strategies include education and exercises to help you move in a more relaxed way and to build up your strength and endurance. Kevin and Amanda have triaing in Cognitive Functional Therapy (CFT) which is a patient centred approach shown to be helpful for improving chronic pain. CFT helps to identify individual factors contributing to disabling pain and teaches patients to understand their pain, move more confidently, and re-engage in meaningful activities.

Hand and Upper Limb Therapy

Our hands and upper limbs are vitally important in day-to-day tasks such as dressing, driving, eating and working. Injury or painful conditions of the hand and upper limb can cause great difficulty and frustration to the individual. Angie specialises in hand and upper limb injuries and will provide a comprehensive assessment, educate you on your condition and leave you with a good understanding of the rehabilitation plan moving forward. We commonly treat various conditions in the clinic, including carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, tennis elbow, trigger finger, dupuytren's disease, wrist instability and more.

Knee and Hip Osteoarthritis and Joint Replacement

Exercise, education and other lifestyle support can help many people with knee and hip osteoarthritis to thrive and live well. Our physiotherapist Amanda specialises in providing care to people with arthritis right across their journey. When pain from arthritis is severe, surgery such as joint replacement can provide significant pain relief and improve quality of life. If you do need surgery, our Physiotherapists will work with you and your Orthopaedic Surgeon to help you make a really well informed decision and to support you to get to surgery at the right time and in the best condition possible to maximise your outcome. Our physiotherapists also provide post operative support at home to people in their early recovery from joint replacement surgery.
